Piercing on his left earlobe, often a gold hoop.
Had to have stitches on his left ear and has a scar across it from when he ripped the top of his ear in the wall in Atchison.
Has a scar on his bicep from having been shot.
He does get triggered by loud noises, especially dogs. Was bitten by a dog when he was a kid so he is not the biggest fan of them even if he wants to be.
Has two rabbits. Two Holland Lops. One is black and white. The other is Gray. Their names are Shoes and Socks.
He has been in a handful of tornados in his lifetime. He knows how to handle it to keep himself and others safe.

Atchison to Hawkins: Where we stated

The events of Cold Storage happened around 1985 in this AU. And Travis moved to Hawkins Indiana after, At the age of 24 years old. Meaning he was born around 1963-1964, around that time period depending on when in the series he would have appeared.
Travis Meacham was born on September 5th in a small town in Kansas called Atchison, Kansas to two adults who. . . really should have never had a child. Second kid in his family, but apparently his parents had not learned the first time. By the time he was in middle school, his mother had already divorced his father and ran off. Its possible this happened when he was just 11 years old. He was often allowed to go to school in dirty clothes and with a dirty face. His father never really checked on him before sending him to school and at times he went to school without a lunch box or with the same clothes he had been wearing for days. Freshman year, his brother had moved out and he was on his own with a father who really never could hold a job or keep a girlfriend. Which left Travis to learn social skills without anyone to teach him really how to handle peer pressure and various other important social skills. As well as causing Travis to become rather gullible. He did not understand in many cases that his peers were taking advantage of him. By 15, Travis had already become an addict thanks to his father. Mostly alcohol and weed, but he had been more than willing to try anything when it was cold enough since nothing happens in a small town like Atchison. His father really did not spend time with him unless it was involving the Three Stooges on tv. As a result, Travis never knew where his next meal would come from. He often ate anything he could get at a gas station or was a TV dinner. At 14 he did start working to try to figure the food situation out since he had grown tired of relying on his father. The bigger issue with that is he had been taught by people he worked with to take money from the register or swipe food if no one was looking to cover things because he did not make enough to survive. And being in a town with just less than 11,000 people, he did odd jobs to make ends meet. He has done everything from being a gas station attendant, to working construction, and woodworking. He actually did well in school and had a pretty good GPA. 3.5GPA. He did well in Math and Science. Graduated mostly because his head could not fit between the fence to go smoke with the other students. He had also been in Theater to get girls attention. Which resulted in even more drug and alcohol abuse, as well as the fact while he thought he was doing the right thing seeking attention from older women, they were often taking advantage of the fact he was drugged or intoxicated in one way or another. But when he moved out, he started getting himself in trouble even more trouble thanks to lessons he had not learned with being gullible. At first because a ‘friend’ of his convinced him to keep his car warm, and they ran in and robbed a convenience store. For that? He had served time in the Navy with Marine Corps experience. Thanks to his good GPA, he remembered enough of his math and science to qualify to work on a ballistic missile sub. So he got to have the same bunk every night which he appreciated. And the second time he got in trouble? Possession. And for that he served 18 months in a local low risk prison. During that time, he got various poorly done prison tattoos, pierced an ear, and when he got out of prison, he bleached his hair. Not the best bleach job, but he was trying to find himself. As an agreement for good behavior while in incarceration, he got a job at the Atchison Storage Facility. And to this day, he kind of wishes he had not witnessed the things he had witnessed at that storage unit. While it had been a new start, it paid awful and after the whole fungus situation and just how boring the situation had been? He regretted it. Gods did he regret it. Because if he had just been dumb enough to stay in prison instead of getting out for good behavior, maybe he wouldn't have witnessed all he did. But then again, how would Naomi handled the situation at the facility? And he is thankful for the next chapter it brought him.

How this differs from the timeline for Cold Storage:

While he drove a used Cadillac in the movie he would have likely drove a used Cadillac Eldorado before the storage facility situation which resulted in the car being destroyed, he drives a 1968 Chevrolet Chevelle in Hawkins. It's light blue.When it comes to Naomi, did he end up dating her? Yes. But it was short lived for the fact that he wanted to get away from Kansas. Naomi had her daughter to think about so she had stayed with her daughter to make sure she was cared for. To make sure Sarah had all she could ever want thanks to the government money they were getting after all Travis and Naomi witnessed. They parted on good terms. Still good friends and he still checks in on her and Sarah often. Naomi had been his first relationship. Relocation due to the events of the storage unit was offered and due to what was known about what was happening in Hawkins, they sent Travis to just be a place holder. His job he started at the storage unit was more to just get him to Hawkins, but he is reporting in with his contact, Roberto Dias a formerly retired DTRA opperative, should anything new develop. Not the same as the government presence within Hawkins, Travis’s contact is in charge of monitoring not only viruses, funguses and other illnesses reported, but also weird disappearances, missing person reports. The situation with Hawkins Lab qualifies. So while he seems like he is just aimlessly making friends? He is able to report back to his contact what he hears. He is not working with the military that is stationed in Hawkins. Roberto’s request for Travis to just live in town and see what he finds out. See if anyone will tell him about this town or if he witnesses things for himself.So when Robin and him became best friends (and his first best friend he has ever had that did not try to get something out of him) and she filled him in about all that had happened in Hawkins? He had called his contact and reported it back. About the deaths. The missing people. The disappearance of Will Byers. The Russians. Demogorgons. Demobats. All of it. Which had gotten a hell of a response, since it sounded like Travis must have been drunk or high. So this boy had to call back another two or three times before Roberto took him seriously. And even then, he had had to go to the library and type it up on a typewriter and mail it to Roberto before he fully took it seriously. It had taken Travis hours to type that up.Thanks to the government trying to cover up what happened back in Kansas, he gets paid by the government each month, and he gets paid for reporting to Roberto, since this info he monitors is to make sure the military presence is not making things worse. Which. . . it was. But not much Travis can do other than just report it to Roberto. Roberto had come out of retirement after the situation in Kansas, he and his partner both. Somebody had to take charge after the military had tried to sweep the fungus under the rug, and it had blown up in their faces. So now, he had a small task force of people monitoring that was more like people placed in towns to just live. Just report back info on towns where strange things had been reported. And Travis had been lucky enough to just be dropped in Hawkins, Indiana. Out of one hellscape and into another. This is the third town that Travis has been in, the second having been a miscommunication. But he has discovered he actually likes it in Hawkins.He sees a therapist rather regularly now because he is recovering from being as gullible as he used to be. Learning social skills and how to work on himself. Seeing people and animals explode from a fungus and being threatened by said infected human that they were going to’throw up in his mouth’. Cordyceps Novus was a traumatic situation for Travis to have survived. And his shoulders still hurt sometimes from the situation of having carried the ‘package’ that Roberto Dias had had him carry down however many feet it had been.

Injuries from Atchison

He had been shot in the bicep and the bullet stuck in his hours until he could get it removed. He had some trouble with it when it was healing. He also cut his ear pretty bad on his left ear when it got stuck in the wall and has a scar from it from having to get stitches.
Travis does have PTSD, Insomnia, and some lasting effects from what he did witness. He does struggle with sleeping due to night terrors. Has a slight tremmor to his hands when he is starting to have trouble with panic episodes.

The Story so far in Hawkins

Travis moved to Hawkins into his first decent apartment and started working at the Storage Facility just outside of town. At first, he really struggled to adapt. His apartment was really quiet but he was slowly He was beginning to really enjoy his new surroundings. Sure, the Storage Facility was somehow more boring than Atchison, but he was slowly starting to find a rhythm. He worked Third Shift, meaning he came in around 11pm and works until 8am. You meet some really interesting people when working at a Storage Facility.
One evening while working at the Storage Facility, he met Robin Buckley (@80SAWKLES) who had quickly become one of his closest friends he had ever had. He met a handful of others who became part of his circle, but Robin proved to be likely his closest friend and most influential towards him since moving here. Way better than he ever had back in Kansas. Through this friendship, he was informed about the events in Hawkins that happened before he had gotten there. Everything from the disappearance of Will Byers, to the Russians under Star Court Mall and Vecna, and verious other bits and pieces of information that would prove important later on. Which when he called it in to Roberto Diaz after, Roberto did not believe him and he ended up having to take the time to go to the library and type everything up with a typewriter. Not long after this, Travis began to grow restless since even less happens at the Storage Facility than the last one he works at, so he began to look into what might be possible when it comes to working at home or a job where he can work with his hands. A friend convinced him to put in his two weeks because then he could actually set his own schedule, and spend time with people he actually wanted to be around. At the moment, he is slowly waiting for his two weeks to run out so he can start doing what he enjoys best. He loves working with his hands and doing odd jobs, so he is going to be working as he needs on Woodworking, small jobs if people hire him for repairs, and helping out at WSQK when needed.As of right now, he has begun working on a few furniture projects he has been commissioned on as well as making baseball bats for the Hawkins Highschool and Middle School Baseball teams. He also has been asked to cover shifts at The Hideout recently.-This will be updated as his time in Hawkins develops-
